People in each society identify themselves with their own communities through several aspects like language, color, clothing, food and eating habits, attitude, behavior, and all other factors of their existence. Traditions are passed down through generations. It can be seen that the older a society, the stronger are its traditions.

People of all societies take pride in their traditions. They feel a sense of belonging while in the midst of their own kind, where a common set of traditions are followed by all. This ensures a high level of comfort in the daily lives of people, as well as provides a sense of security where all people in the society live by a common set of rules. Law and order is thus also ensured through this process.

When members of one society interfaces or interacts with another society, it becomes necessary for members of both societies to understand the traditions of the other society. With a good deal of understanding of each other’s traditions, values and beliefs, it becomes easy to deal with each other in a peaceful manner. The outcome of such dealings can generally be expected to be beneficial to both societies.

These measures provide great relief to the members of the lower class, since their financial conditions would otherwise not allow them to survive in the harsh economic environment where prices of all basics goods have risen beyond their reach, and they do not have any hope of ever earning enough to meet their own needs.

What was in the closet decades ago is out in the lounge – sexuality. We must understand that some people are trapped in a body which they should not have been trapped into. Consider this, a smart young man, who is actually a woman. Has womanly feelings. Is feminine. Thinks feminine. Unfortunately, her body is male. Call it a manufacturing defect? Yes. Happens.

There is nothing wrong for gay people to feel derogated about having feminine feelings. Feminity is the sustenance of mankind. It is the basis of evolution and pro-creation. It is what created the universe. Don’t we call our Earth Mother Earth? Do we call it Father Earth?

Not everyone will be qualified to every job, but that’s all right. This is a great time to teach new skills, just remember to make it fun. Be careful to fit each person with the right job. Two year old baby is not ready to use a knife, but she can wash veggies, dip chicken in flour, and shred lettuce. The ten year old is definitely ready to learn basic knife skills.

Working together is going to allow the family to form strong family ties. By encouraging, directing and allowing kids to do you are also building self-esteem and confidence in them. This puts, you, the parent in a good role model position.

Allowing kids to help prepare the food may also help you overcome another issue. If you have a fussy eater, by being involved in the preparation of the food sometimes helps them overcome their fears of trying new things. Especially if they know exactly what is going into what they are eating.

Many parents experience the sadness and depression that comes with letting their children finally grow up and leave home. Families with multiple children ease through this period gradually. Families with one child experience it all at once.

Take the time to grieve. One stage of your life is finished, another is about to begin. Grieving gives you the opportunity to remember the good times and the bad. Give yourself time to get use to this new life.

During this time remember to turn to your circle of family and friends. They are there to help and support you. They also give a normalcy to life. Go out for coffee or lunch with a friend. Treat yourself. Something you may have done in a very long time.

Get involved, whether at a church, school, or a hospital.  This is the perfect opportunity to learn something new by getting involved.   Reach out to others, this always seems to be the best medicine for those who are hurting.

Renew your relationship with your spouse. Many of us can attest that we have lost that first spark with our significant other. Face it, kid’s are a lot of work and take up a lot of our time. Now would be the perfect time to renew that relationship, maybe reinventing it. Have fun getting to know each other again.

Just remember, as you let your children go, this is not the end of your life. It is just the beginning to a new chapter.
